So long, and thanks for all the flash

All good things come to an end and, although it’s been a great six and half years, it’s time to bring the curtain down on Ellipsis.

I’ve been thinking about this for several months now and there are lots of little reasons why, and, I guess, just as many reasons to keep going, but the biggest issue is that I just don’t have the time to commit to Ellipsis like I used to. Running the website and publishing collections and zines takes a lot out of the day and sometimes, a lot of times, it’s been a real struggle keep on top of it all.

Thank you to everyone who submitted work, subscribed or purchased publications, and visited the site to read or share the work published. It’s been great to get to know so many of you virtually, and in real life, over the years. We’ve achieved a lot together; thirteen, soon to be fourteen, flash fiction zines and six single author publications. Not forgetting almost 900 pieces of flash on this site.

This hasn’t been a solo project. I’ve had help and support from a lot of people behind the scenes, too many to mention here for fear of missing someone out, but I hope you all know who you are. Thank you.

The website will remain live for the foreseable future, so please do come back, hit the random button, and enjoy something from the archive. There are also print and digital issues to get your hands on if you haven’t already. (Single Author or Zines) I’ve reducing the cover price on most publications to £1 for digital and £2 for the print issues.

For anyone with an active subscription. This will be cancelled after the next issue and then I’ll collate refunds based on issues not fulfilled. Please drop me an email/DM if you have any questions.

Before we go, I have one final zine to publish, so head over to the submissions page and send me your best.
